Lots done

Posted on Oct 31, 2007 at 11:26 pm

Today was my day off. Cleaned most of the house, placed a mountain of laundry in the corner of bedroom as a hopeful “still to do” motivator for tomorrow, made my kids dinner, watched “the naked Archaeologist” on the History channel and then wrote 2000 words. Hurrah!Got a very nice email from a fellow writer […]

Writing outside of the outline

Posted on Oct 30, 2007 at 12:28 am

Well, I’m writing out of order now, mostly because I am still too research-deficient to write linearly.  East End 1888 (by Fishman) is proving to be a real bear to get through.  Also  I really felt I was living in the English country home when I wrote the first novel but I still can’t smell […]

Which means “reflections” in Russian. Credit: Alek_Morse  /artist Paula_Pink. Lots of research this weekend. Also want to go on record saying that I wish I lived in South Carolina so I could vote for Stephen Colbert, who is only running in his home state. maybe he’ll change his mind.  Well, I must say- working with my friend from NY has been an absolute pleasure. She started two months ago- and everyone at the office loves her and we get along very very well. Which for me— is, like, amazing.  I’m not the most tolerant of people. Outwardly I am pleasant and all but on […]

After several nudges from friends and family I finally gave in and signed up for Facebook. It’s all over.  LJ was bad enough, but I am in serious danger of never turning off the laptop.  I just wasted two hours…..Just read Blessing on the Moon by Joseph Skibell. It was excellent. I normally never read […]

Got a little antsy

Posted on Oct 2, 2007 at 8:17 pm

so I wrote to my agent today and asked her what direction I should be heading in- writing sequel, revising again…etc. I really wanted to write but I wasn’t sure where I was in terms of the first. In other words—- what did the adult editor say? So she wrote back saying she hadn’t heard […]
