Palm readings and other things

My nine year old just insisted on doing my palm reading.
Her conclusions:
1) I am not lovey-dovey. (true)
2) My personality will not change (I haven’t changed since infancy)
3) I am very creative (blush)
4) I have “earthy” hands (not sure what that means but I like how it sounds)
I am thinking of marketing her uncanny abilities. (that’s the creative side of me talking)
In other news, my closest friend just got married. I was her wedding planner/ baker/ fix-it person and though exhausting, it was the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. (besides having children that can miraculously read palms) There never was a happier or easier to please bride. (they’re usually so stressed and obsessed with minutiae.)
I took my kids and the bride’s daughter to see Prince Caspian today. The kids liked it. My husband walked out and I was busy trying to hide my five year old’s eyes. I expected a wonderful continuation of the Narnia series and instead got a gory, pointless stream of battle scenes. Which should have been rated PG-13 so I would have known to leave my little one with a friend. She kept insisting that she wasn’t scared but I have a feeling that I will find her sleeping next to me tonite.
